- How I feel about this character: I love him. I love how the writers managed to make him both an absolute prat and the pure-hearted king he’s gonna ultimately end up being at the same time without making it feel unrealistic. I love how he puts Camelot first and foremost, I love how his first response to everything is constructive dialogue as opposed to a physical or aggressive reaction, because that’s in the end what King Arthur is really gonna be about.
- All the people I ship romantically with this character: Merlin, Morgana.
- My non-romantic OTP for this character: the knights, Morgana again, Gaius.
- My unpopular opinion about this character: I very much do not care about his relationship with Guinevere, to the point where the change in both their characters after the relationship started is one of the things that disappointed me the most in the last seasons.
- One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: a chance to see Arthur and Morgana on the throne as allies and as equals. Also for Arthur to put on his smarty pants and realize that Merlin is doing magic right in front of him, for goodness’ sake.
